The Routes of Safety model describes and acknowledges the ways we fluidly access safety. The ways we get access to safety depends largely on our lived experiences; our early emotional experiences, the trauma we’ve experienced and inherited, and our current relationships with ourselves and others shape how we experience safety. ⁣⁣⁣
 
There are eight Routes of Safety outlined in this model and the workshop will spend time defining and dissecting each pillar. Participants will walk away with a more in-depth understanding of emotional and relational trauma and how it alters our feelings of safety in the world.
